The Braun coffee maker began as a commercial product that revolutionized the way America made their morning cup of joe. People went from the percolator which had the coffee bubbling at the top; to a dripolator where ran out the bottom of the newly designed machine. People were now able to receive a better cup of coffee because the water was heated in a separate compartment and then passed through fresh and into a waiting pot. People preferred this method over the percolator method because it gave them coffee faster and better than ever before.
